Manufacturing of a bronze award for the Chamber of the Furniture Industry of Jalisco

Award Design by Alejandro Romero

The bronze award for the Chamber of the Furniture Industry of the State of Jalisco and Alejandro Romero was manufactured using the lost-wax casting technique. For this process, Alejandro Romero designed two 3D-printed patterns, which served as the basis for the awards.

From these patterns, molds were created using silicone and fiberglass. These molds made it possible to accurately reproduce the details of the original pieces. A total of five medals were manufactured from them: two large ones and three small ones.

Once the bronze pieces were cast, two of the large medals underwent special treatments. One was treated with a copper electrolytic process, and the other received a nickel coating, giving them a distinctive and elegant finish.

This work combines traditional casting techniques with modern technological tools, highlighting the collaboration between Alejandro Romero 's creativity and the artisanal excellence of Art21Studio .
