At Art21Studio, we have an extensive track record of closely collaborating with designers and architects, establishing long-term relationships that have evolved from their first experiences in our workshops—many while they were still students. It is gratifying to see that, upon entering the professional field, these creatives seek us out again to join forces on larger-scale projects. A standout example of this synergy is our collaboration with Huber.Design, a firm led by the talented Bibiana Huber.

One of the projects that emerged from this partnership was the development of furniture and decorative elements for the lobbies of the Central Park real estate complex in Guadalajara, Jalisco. The series of images accompanying this text documents key moments in the process where creativity, design, and technical execution converged.

The original conceptualization and design were carried out by Huber.Design, who skillfully reinterpreted natural forms and textures to give the space its own unique identity.

Art21Studio was responsible for materializing these ideas, translating digital renderings into tangible pieces that were both functional and aesthetically faithful to the initial concept. This process required a deep understanding of materials, as well as mastery of artisanal and semi-industrial manufacturing techniques.

The project included creating a line of tables, benches, sinks, and planters—all inspired by natural elements but reimagined with a contemporary vision. As visual and tactile references, we selected tree trunks, river stones, “alocasia adora” leaves, and textiles like jute, aiming to establish a dialogue between the organic and the urban.

Based on these concepts, we developed three models of side tables: one evoking the texture and forms of a tree trunk, another inspired by a round stone, and the third representing an “alocasia adora” leaf. Similarly, we designed stool´s replicating these forms, achieving visual coherence throughout the furniture collection. We also created a sink basin whose surface imitates wood grain, and a large-format planter that replicates the appearance of a jute sack, bringing warmth and authenticity to the environment.

All these models were later adapted for production using the sand-casting aluminum process, a technique that results in durable, detailed, and resilient pieces. In this way, we brought to life the ideas conceived during the design phase and ensured that each element met the quality and aesthetic standards required for a high-profile development like Central Park.
