Vladimir Cora

Vladimir Cora is a prolific painter and sculptor who studied fine arts at the School of Painting and Sculpture in Tijuana and the National School of Painting and Sculpture “La Esmeralda” of INBA. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards and honorable mentions, including the Grand Prize of the Confraternity of Four Cultures at the First Ibero-American Painting Biennial of the Andean Institute of Popular Arts in Miami, an honorable mention at the First Rufino Tamayo Painting Biennial in Oaxaca, and the Plastic Arts Award from the Government of the State of Nayarit, among others.
Cora is a versatile artist known for his fearless experimentation with a wide range of materials and techniques, often blending them in unconventional ways. His years of experience allow these seemingly chaotic combinations to come together harmoniously. In sculpture, he has worked with steel, bronze, polymers, and various woods, while in painting, he mixes acrylics, oils, collages, fabrics, and paper.
At Art21Studio, Vladimir has created several works in bronze and polymers. His artistic style evolves significantly depending on the period and the subject matter he is exploring. However, his recent works can be primarily described as neo-figurative, with a Fauvist approach to color.
